HCA Healthcare Patient Transporter PRN in Manchester, New Hampshire

Job Summary and Qualifications

A Patient Transoporter provides safe patient transfer assistance and mobility with direction from nursing and rehab staff.

Understands and demonstrates appropriate use of lifting equipment and assistive devices for patient mobility.

Understands levels of assistance, weight bearing status.

Demonstrates safe and appropriate body mechanics when assisting patients.

Receives assignment from nursing staff and or rehab staff daily at the start of his/her shift

Communicates with nurse prior to mobilizing patient.

Documents in the EMR under transport/mobility” time, activity, under the direction of the nurse caring for the patient.

Communicates completion of activity and any concerns noted

Enlists assistance of staff as needed

Responds to calls for assistance in a timely and professional manner.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Healthcare experiece preferred.
