Robert Half Billing Specialist in Manchester, New Hampshire
Description
Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented Billing Specialist to support billing and revenue operations within a professional services environment. This role partners closely with finance teams to ensure accurate, timely preparation and submission of client invoices while maintaining compliance with internal policies and client requirements.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in a deadline‑driven setting, and able to manage multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail. Flexibility and professionalism are key, particularly during peak billing cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and process client invoices on a recurring and as‑needed basis
Collaborate with staff to review and revise pre‑bills
Ensure invoices align with agreed‑upon billing terms and client guidelines
Submit invoices through electronic billing platforms and monitor submission status
Address billing issues such as discrepancies, rejections, adjustments, and appeals
Assist with customized billing requests and non‑standard billing arrangements
Support month‑end and year‑end billing activities and reporting
Maintain confidentiality of financial and client information
Provide general support for accounting or billing projects as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
Prior experience in legal billing or professional services billing preferred
Working familiarity with billing processes, client guidelines, and invoice review
Experience resolving billing issues and supporting billing adjustments
Experience with electronic billing platforms and client‑specific billing formats
