Job Title: Administrator/ Document Controller
Location: Manchester (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £26k- £30k (DOE) +fantastic benefits, including enhanced maternity and sick pay + electric car scheme
Bureau Veritas is actively seeking an experienced Administrator/ Document Controller to join our growing team. This pivotal role provides essential support to our CAPEX Division, which includes our Fire Engineering, Building Control, CDM and Structural Engineering teams.
As a key member of the division, you will play a central role in coordinating project documentation, maintaining accurate trackers, and ensuring all systems and processes run smoothly. Your work will directly support the project management and administration function across the CAPEX portfolio, helping us deliver high‑quality, compliant and well‑structured project outputs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate computer-based records, logging distributed and received documents
Establish and maintain paper and computer-based document filing systems
Review and distribute documents in line with agreed departmental procedures
Process responses to documents issued
Chase responses to documents issued when required
Administer requests for information
Conduct periodic archiving
Remain up to date with all company policies and procedures, industry legislation and guidance applicable to your subject field
Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time
Assist with compilation of client reports
About you
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and pre-requisites:
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
Outstanding organisation skills and eye for detail and accuracy
Excellent in multi-tasking & prioritising skills
Able to work under tight deadlines and focused on exceptional customer service
Previous experience in document control department preferrable but not essential
