Responsibilities for this Position
System Safety Analyst for the Payload Control System
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed systems safety analysis using methods such as functional decomposition and logical analysis to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive safety documentation, including safety assessment reports and hazard action reports.
Clearly and confidently present safety analysis, findings, and risk assessments to program leadership, engineering teams, and external customers.
Take ownership of safety-related tasks, demonstrating leadership by driving them to completion in accordance with project schedules and requirements.

Job Duties
Works as individual contributor using defined resources to meet project requirements
Gathers and organizes data for review with appropriate engineer(s) in support of project
Accepts direction from superiors
Integrates well in a team environment
Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting and repairing of devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems
Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existing programs
Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters
Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements
Participates in engineering teams supporting experiment design, materials, equipment setup and maintenance and related issues
Provides technical expertise to customers, users or company personnel either at domestic or international field sites
Develops, implements, installs, tests, modifies and/or operates complex equipment and systems
Develops test plans and preventative maintenance programs
Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system

Target salary range: USD $67,887.00/Yr. - USD $73,456.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience).
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
