Saint-Gobain Project Manager, Architectural Solutions in MALVERN, Pennsylvania

What's the job?

The Project Manager position is responsible for coordinating cross-functional projects to develop and implement critical process improvements and change management for all functions and sites within the CertainTeed Architectural group. Reporting to the Project & Operational Performance Manager, this role will support the sustainable merging of business practices and procedures across multiple Specialty Ceilings lines of business to promote the commercial strategy of ONE CertainTeed experience to customers and facilitate integration efforts within the larger CertainTeed Architectural and Interior Products Group (IPG) where optimal market verticals exist.

-Project Management:

  • Establishing best practices across functional teams--

• Supporting capture and dissemination of accurate, business-defined KPIs-

• Facilitating effective project schedule management-

• Creating metrics and reporting for deliverables to the highest levels of the organization including the IPG Leadership Team

• Streamlining communication of project requirements-

• Supporting corporate financial assessments, annual project auditing and regular project reviews

• Leading the capture and actioning of project “Lessons Learned” with internal and external stakeholders

• Risk Assessment of Projects

-• Facilitating handoff of newly developed tools and processes to appropriate functions resources to support continuity

• Developing project criteria for IPG job tracking initiatives, and facilitating data capture and sharing of across IPG Sales teams for key commercial opportunities

•- - Supporting consistent and regular master data management across Specialty Planning and Purchasing teams

-- - Facilitate organization and reporting for Strategic Projects Portfolio

-- - Training and mentoring project leaders throughout the organization in best practices of project management--

What do you bring?

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, or Engineering.

10+ Years' Experience in Project Management

5-7 Years Experience with specialty ceiling and other products

5-7 Years Experience with Construction Project Management software

  • Successful track record managing multiple cross-functional projects using tools and methods in accordance with PMBOK standards

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications to include Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint (and other process documentation tools)

  • Experience deploying and using SAP, SalesForce, QuickBase, or other similar software systems

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet critical deadlines, to work independently or as a team as required, to work effectively with customers according to deadlines and under pressure-filled conditions is essential

  • Must be able to work flexible hours based on business needs and able to commute to corporate office and plants
