Infiana USA, Inc. Industrial Mechanic / Machinist First Class in MALVERN, Pennsylvania

*MUST BE ABLE TO WORK A ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULE 2 weeks of Day Shift (6a-6p), 2 weeks of Night Shift (6p-6a), 2 weekends Off. Each work week is 42 hours.*

*This role is within the United Steel Workers local 333 Union workforce.

  1. Understand and follow all applicable safety and environmental requirements.
  2. Understand and follow parameters on work order, schedules and special instructions.
  3. Perform bench and manufacturing floor work as assigned.  Work from prints, sketches and samples to layout and machine new and replacement parts and install ancillary equipment.
  4. Trouble shoot, devise solutions for and repair mechanical malfunctions as directed.
  5. Maintain, repair and adjust plant equipment to support continuous operation.
  6. Perform regular Preventive Maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  7. Provide documentation of completed repair work as directed.
  8. Keep working area and Maintenance shop clean, orderly and safe.
  9. Assist other Maintenance Classification personnel as necessary to support plant operations.
  10. It is understood that this list of responsibilities is not all encompassing and that we are all expected to perform all other duties that may be assigned.

JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must have a good record of attendance and punctuality.
  2. Minimum 5 years' proven experience in standard machine shop equipment; lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hand tools, etc. preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Ability to machine and assemble parts from prints, sketches and samples to reasonable tolerances.
  4. Necessary education and experience to follow Manufacturer's Service instructions and diagrams or prints.
  5. Experience in repair, adjustment and modification of production equipment.
  6. Ability to diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions; mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.
  7. Ability to read and use precision measuring tools and gauges.
  8. Capable of welding and fabricating. 
  9. Basic computer knowledge, ability to work with equipment touch screens and learn company software programs and equipment drives.
  10. Ability to acquire tow motor/forklift operator's license within 30 days of entry into position.
  11. Physical ability to perform required work including bending, climbing, stooping and handling heavy materials (50 lbs max.) and equipment components in and around plant.
  12. Initiative to perform duties with minimum supervision.
  13. Available for necessary overtime work and emergency call-in.
  14. Must be able to work in a team environment, cooperating with co-workers and production leaders.
