We are searching for the best talent for an Analyst, Transcend R&D Master Data role in Beerse, Belgium or U.S. (Malvern, PA or Spring House, PA).
Purpose:
Innovative Medicine (IM) Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize foundational supply chain processes and harmonize them into one “clean” ERP as a standardized platform (SAP S/4HANA) to enable growth and efficiency.
The program will simplify the Pharma ERP landscape from seven systems to one by standardizing processes and delivering a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that enables agility.
R&D is an integral part of the IM Transcend program, transforming and standardizing relevant R&D supply chain processes and incorporating them into the global IM Transcend template.
The Transcend R&D program team is seeking an Analyst, Transcend R&D Master Data to support master data deliverables across customer, vendor, logistics, and trade compliance domains.
This position reports to the Associate Director, Transcend R&D Data Management.
You will be responsible for:
Perform master data analysis, cleansing, and preparation activities (profiling, validation checks, and standardization) across defined data domains.
Document business requirements and business user stories for in-scope data objects across releases (primary focus: customer, vendor, logistics, and trade compliance).
Support data mapping, conversion load preparation, reconciliations, and defect resolution during BST/UAT and cutover cycles.
Execute Business Simulation Testing (BST) and capture test evidence as required.
Monitor data quality metrics and triggers; investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate remediation with data owners.
Document domain-specific data work instructions and SOPs.
Support integration and reporting readiness by validating reference/master data dependencies across systems and interfaces.
Participate in planning and execution activities to ensure data tasks are planned, tracked, and delivered on schedule.
Prepare day-in-the-life documentation and lead working sessions to ensure no gaps for the operate-state environment.
Approximate Percentage of Time & Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities
30% Master data preparation and documentation (create/change, validation, documentation).
20% Data quality monitoring and remediation (KPIs, issue triage, root cause, corrective actions).
20% Data migration support (mapping, load files, reconciliation, sign-offs).
20% Test and cutover readiness support (BST/UAT defect support, cutover rehearsals, hypercare).
10% Governance support (standards updates, work instructions, stewardship coordination).
Other Duties:
Support audit/inspection inquiries by providing traceable data records and supporting documentation.
Contribute to continuous improvement of master data templates, validation rules, and reusable checklists.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
3+ years of hands-on experience working with SAP data and structured data sets (e.g., customers, suppliers).
Experience with logistics, source and/or global trade processes.
Experience supporting data migration activities (profiling, cleansing, mapping, load/reconciliation).
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow controlled processes and documentation standards.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a transformation environment.
Proficiency with Excel and data analysis techniques (filters, pivots, reconciliation methods).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP MDG (workflow).
Familiarity with regulated environments and data integrity expectations.
Exposure to Agile delivery methods and program increment planning.
Travel expectations : 5-10%

Transcend Data pillar leadership and workstream counterparts (Source/Deliver/Logistics/Trade Compliance) for dependency alignment.
Business data owners
IT delivery teams (data migration, integration, testing) for defect resolution and readiness.
Quality/Compliance and ISRM partners as needed for controlled data and system requirements.
