Alice Hyde Medical Center, located at 133 Park Street in Malone, New York, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Department team in a per diem capacity.Key Responsibilities: * Assess, diagnose, and treat patients, working closely with the Emergency Department Physician team. * Respond promptly to calls from the nursing staff, effectively managing changes in patient conditions. * Order and interpret tests and images, and prescribe medications as needed. * Prepare patient discharges, including writing prescriptions, discharge summaries, arranging follow-up appointments, and educating patients and their families. * Maintain a high standard of patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the Emergency Department.Requirements: * Experience in an Emergency Room setting is preferred. * Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess and manage patient care independently. * Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff and patient education. Education & Licensure Requirements Nurse Practitioners (NP): * Completion of a master's, postmaster's, or doctoral NP program accredited by CCNEor ACEN. * Current national certification (such as ANCC, or equivalent). Physician Assistants (PA): * Graduation from an ARCPA-accreditedPA program (or qualifying predecessor program). * Current NCCPAcertification. * Graduation from an ARCPA-accreditedPA program (or qualifying predecessor program). * Current NCCPAcertification.
