Head of Finance, Philippines

We are seeking for a Head of Finance, Philippines to to lead our Finance team in the Philippines and implement and align Aon United practices across all lines of business. Playing a pivotal role in Aon Philippines, the Head of Finance will be instrumental in driving our financial strategy and supporting the delivery of our Aon Global 3x3 plan.

What the day will look like

Strategic leadership and financial management

  • Partner with senior management and business leaders to develop and monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, headcount and profitability, and support decision-making with sound financial analysis.

  • Manage the full financial reporting cycle for the organisation, including monthly management reporting, annual planning process, monthly forecasts and statutory financial statements, in line with Aon guidelines and Philippine regulations.

  • Work with the Aon Business Services team to ensure appropriate oversight of working capital and collection of trade receivables, ensuring accurate forecasting of trade receivables and bad debt provisions.

  • Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations by overseeing day-to-day activities and aligning with Aon internal control and regulatory requirements.

    Operations, processes and controls

  • Develop and implement standard processes to ensure a well‑controlled yet flexible finance function that effectively supports operational activities and company growth.

  • Manage and control operating expenses, ensuring accuracy, appropriate supporting documentation, and full compliance with Aon internal control standards.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for cost reduction, process enhancement, and operational efficiency across the organisation.

    Tax, audit and external stakeholders

  • Manage and oversee the taxation affairs of the organisation, ensuring all corporate tax payments and filings are accurate, timely and compliant with applicable Philippine tax laws and regulations.

  • Manage the relationship with external auditors and regulators, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Establish and develop strong relationships with external parties including, but not limited to, tax consultants, banks, clients, insurers and other partners to support smooth operations.

    Business partnership

  • Work closely with broking unit heads and other business leaders on the finalisation of revenue and expense forecasts, including headcount and profit and loss submissions with estimated closing numbers.

  • Partner with operations teams to ensure that Aon revenue recognition policies are correctly applied and consistently implemented.

  • Liaise with Sales and HR on the calculation of producer incentives and other variable compensation arrangements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Aon guidelines.

    People leadership

  • Lead, develop and coach the finance team to build a high-performing, engaged and collaborative function that lives Aon’s values.

  • Provide inspirational leadership, clear direction and regular feedback, and ensure appropriate succession planning for key roles in the finance team.

  • Promote an inclusive, diverse and supportive team culture, focused on continuous learning, development and high standards of performance.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Proven work experience as a Head of Finance, Finance Director, Chief Finance Officer or similar senior finance leadership role.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA) is highly preferred.

  • Post‑qualification experience in a finance function, preferably including Big Four public accounting experience and/or experience in a corporate finance function within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.

  • Disciplined approach to financial management and an in‑depth understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, accounting standards and internal control frameworks.

  • Demonstrated experience in planning, forecasting and financial reporting processes in a complex, multi‑stakeholder organisation.

  • Strong accounting, process and controls background with the ability to identify key risks and implement effective mitigations.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a commercial mindset, with the ability to act as a trusted business partner while maintaining independence and objectivity where required.

  • Highly motivated, proactive and resilient, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
