Manulife Full Stack Software Engineer in Makati City, Philippines

Position Responsibilities:
Work closely with software engineers toestablishbest practices for development,testingand delivery
Work closely with other teams to drive innovative solutions to meet business needs
Collaborate closely Product Owners and other stakeholders in an Agile environment
Research and evaluate emerging technologies
Prototype to gain customer insights
Proof of Technology to innovate and incorporatenew technology
Have opportunities to mentor co-op students
Required Qualifications:
At least 3-5 years of experience in Frontend and Backend technologies such as HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, Typescript, Node, Angular 2+, React and Java
Experience in working with Database such as MongoDB and SQL
Experience in Framework and API / Service Layer such as Spring Boot (Rest Template, Feign Client,Zuul, Sleuth/Zipkin,Hystrixand Maven), Swagger, Node/Express.
Familiar with NewRelic and Kibana.
Good Foundation in Test Driven Technologies such as Jasmine, JEST, Mocha, Junit, Mockito (Java)
Good Foundation in CSS Best practices and Framework like Material UI, BEM, SMACSS, CSSFlex-box, CSS Grid
Awareness and adherence to best practices of web standards, testing, and coding for accessibility (ARIA, WCAG)
Good Foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO Design with rock-solid programming skills
Familiarity with agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features
Understanding of software development lifecycle
Understanding of how technology supports Manulife business strategy
Occasionallyparticipatesin demosutilizingnew tech.; control guidelinesrequired
Familiar with modern software architectures and API-driven development
Familiar with technologies such as: API Gateways, Messaging, Data Event Streaming, REST, SOAP, Distributed Tracing, Relational and Document Database Interface/SQL
Collaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach,participatein code reviews, share skills and methods
Works together in a small team with a common purpose, follows rules from team members
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to PaaS and micro-service architectures
Exposure to and understanding of Agile scrum methodologies and experience of working in an Agile team
Experienced in grasping and explaining high level solution architecture
Exposure to and basic understanding of collaboration tools like Slack, Skype, JIRA
Knowledge in SonarQube, Fortify andWebInspect
Knowledge in PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry)
