Manulife Full Stack Software Engineer in Makati City, Philippines

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will possess a comprehensive skills in both front-end and back-end development! You will work collaboratively with a team to design, develop, test, and implement scalable software solutions. This role encompasses the entire software development lifecycle, with a focus on integrating and maintaining cloud-based applications using modern technologies and practices!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Python, Java, and C#.

  • Build, enhance, and support web applications using Vue.js and ASP.NET MVC.

  • Participate in the migration of On-Premises application to Azure Cloud.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize DevOps pipelines leveraging Azure Cloud, Jenkins, Terraform, SonarQube, and Snyk.

  • Support production deployments, incident management, and disaster recovery activities.

  • Contribute to achieving team and organizational performance metrics.

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI Embedded applications.

  • Apply creative problem-solving techniques to design scalable and maintainable software solutions.

  • Build applications, APIs, and data solutions to support business initiatives and digital projects.

  • Participate in ideation and brainstorming sessions to develop innovative and disruptive digital solutions.

  • Track progress and update work status daily using Jira and Kanban boards.

  • Create, update, and maintain required technical and operational documentation, including deployment, maintenance, and support materials.

  • Assess business requirements and provide effort estimates, timelines, and technical recommendations.

  • Ensure applications meet non-functional requirements, including security, performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

  • Continuously document and refine technical architecture, application designs, and microservice specifications.

  • Stay informed of emerging technologies and evaluate their adoption for appropriate business use cases.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of full‑stack software development experience.

  • Experience developing and maintaining business applications across the full software delivery lifecycle in a DevOps environment.

  • Working knowledge of modern programming languages including Java, C#, Python, VueJS, NodeJs and cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure

  • API Development

  • Familiarity with cloud services, APIs, Azure Function, ADF, infrastructure as code, and data/BI solutions.

  • Exposure to cloud migration approaches (rehost, re‑platform, refactor).

  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Effective collaborator and communicator, able to work across technical teams, product owners, and business stakeholders.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and quality delivery.
