Consultant – Executive Compensation

What the day will look like
Serve as intermediary between account managers, junior associates, and internal and external clients and stakeholders
Review and provide feedback on the work of junior analysts
Perform competitive analysis using a variety of tools and resources
Be accountable for all methodology/analysis/output on each staffed project
Assist with client management through industry/company or technical research and through frequent positive interactions with client representatives
Collect and review compensation and corporate governance data, policies, and practices
Maintain and update compensation, corporate governance, and financial databases
Develop and maintain positive stakeholder relations through regular and proactive communications
Provide regular mentorship and developmental feedback to junior associates
Assist in overseeing recruitment and training programs for junior associates
Assist in various ad-hoc projects

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in Finance, Economics, Statistics or Mathematic
Having industry certification (e.g., CCP, CECP, or CEP) is a definite advantage
4+ years of human resources, research, data analysis, or other related-industry experience
Ability to work independently in a consulting/data operations role and to interact with various internal and external constituents
Must be a motivated self-starter who is well organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize large volumes of data
Organization skills, detail-oriented, ability to take direction, work independently, as well as support a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel (macros a plus) and Word
Processing spreadsheets, database management, and strong customer service skills
Ability to synthesize and communicate large amounts of data into key findings and identify related business issues
Has an “eye for detail,” while not losing sight of the bigger picture
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience in managing a project and/or a team is a definite plus
