A Day in the Life:\ Work with teachers and administrators to keep accurate records of attendance and discipline to ensure everyone is correctly informed.\ Assist the Principal to[formulate local, state, and federal reports as required by law.\ Maintain student files to ensure accuracy.\ Draft forms to be filed with the District Attorney to meet compliance standards.\ Work with administrators on paperwork for long-term suspension/expulsion hearings so hearings can run smoothly.\ Input and record computer discipline referrals for accurate record keeping.\ Assign student Tardy Detention notices for three or more tardies to keep students informed.\ May cross train to assist the Attendance Secretary or provide front desk coverage.\ Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.\ Maintains confidentiality as appropriate in order to comply with district, state and federal laws.\ Perform other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the office and building]{aria-live="polite"}
Qualifications
- Has basic computer and office skills
- People skills are important, as well as a positive attitude and good oral/written communication
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work well with others
- Has a high school diploma
- Office experience is recommended
- Must have a cleared background check and current TB skin test
- Generally the job requires 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking
- Fine finger dexterity is used
