Job Description:

AHMG Clinical Education & Training

2600 Westhall Lane, Maitland, FL 32751

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

  • Instructs clinical orientation, clinical courses, and annual competency sessions.

  • Develops and rolls out training materials, including competency checklists for clinical skills.

  • Serves as a trainer, mentor, and educational resource to staff, focusing on new employees and those needing additional training, and provides feedback to leaders.

  • Assists with onboarding student externs, including application process support, securing preceptors, and ensuring all documents and applications are complete and approved before rotations.

  • Schedules and coordinates meetings, classes, and event sessions for new hire orientations and education events. Proctors certification exams. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. [Required]

• Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion with sensitive personal information [Required]

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and excellent follow-through. [Required]

• Ability to speak and present to large groups. [Required]

• Ability to provide one-on-one training and give effective feedback. [Required]

• Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; ability to learn new technologies and/or processes. [Required]

Education:

• Technical/Vocational School graduate of a medical assisting program in lieu of experience [Required]

Field of Study:

• Graduate of a medical assisting program in lieu of experience

Work Experience:

• 1+ of practical medical assisting experience [Required]

• Experience as a clinical preceptor or trainer in designated role or field [Preferred]

• Experience teaching in formal/informal settings [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

• Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) [Required] OR

• Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) [Required] OR

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) [Required] OR

• National Healthcareer Association (NHA) [Required] OR

• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) [Required] OR

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) [Required]
