Job Duties:
We need seasonal employees to assist with our corn, oats, soybeans, alfalfa, and flax crop production season, performing all assigned duties related to growing and maintaining these crops. Responsibilities include preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, and harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery; engaging in planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting activities; loading and unloading crops and materials manually or using conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, or hand trucks; loading hoppers, containers, and conveyors using forklifts, augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks; inspecting, adjusting, and completing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment; inspecting, examining, and diagnosing mechanical and electrical equipment to identify damage, defects, wear, or malfunctions; disassembling, cleaning, fabricating, repairing, or replacing mechanical parts and components using hand tools and machine tools; installing, repairing, and maintaining farm machinery, vehicles, irrigation, plumbing, and sprinkler systems; tuning, overhauling, adjusting, lubricating, cleaning, reassembling, and testing equipment and mechanical or electrical systems to ensure proper operation and optimal performance.
Minimum Education Required
None. No High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience Required
Must have at least 3 months relevant experience.
Must have a valid regular driver's license
Employer will conduct post-hire drug testing at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug-free workplace policy, and failure of a drug test will result in termination.
Employer will also conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and as permitted by law, will not employ individuals with felony or theft-related criminal convictions in accordance with workplace safety policies and company hiring practices.

Additional Compensation
The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 03/24/2025). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
