MiniMed Treasury Analyst in Madrid, Spain

About the Role

The MiniMed Corporate Treasury Department manages the company’s cash and investments to ensure adequate liquidity for operating entities around the world, builds and maintains bank relationships, and seeks to reduce the financial risk arising from foreign currency exposures.

Treasury works closely with internal stakeholders across finance, accounting, tax, HR, IT, legal and others, as well as external stakeholders including banks, investment firms, and other financial counterparties to achieve its objectives.

We are looking for a highly skilled Treasury Analyst to help execute our global treasury operations and help design and build our expanding treasury infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings an understanding of cash management operations and financial risk management with experience in a multinational firm with a global presence.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Work closely with banks on integrating banking systems with MiniMed financial systems for efficient payment processing and financial reporting.

  • Monitor daily cash positions across multiple currencies and legal entities to ensure adequate operational liquidity for our global business.

  • Execute wire transfers, intercompany funding, and other cash transfer activities.

  • Create BI dashboards to drive actionable insights to inform process improvements and reduce financial risks.

  • Identify, track, and analyze FX exposure, and assist in designing FX hedging strategies to mitigate currency risk.

  • Perform financial analyses to help drive global treasury decision-making.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive business performance.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field of study and experience working in a multinational company

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to develop solutions and/or innovative ideas to problems and ensure that solutions are consistent with the organization’s objectives.

  • Ability to interface in a global team environment with various levels of management, staff, and other functional areas

  • Strong organizational and people skills with interests in building strong business partnering relationships.
