Abbott Data Integration Manager in Madrid, Spain
Primary Objective of Position
The Manager Data Integration is responsible for negotiating & aligning technical requirements for data integration projects with customers as well as global R&D team
Responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful client-facing implementations of Abbott Diabetes Care´s healthcare software integrations into Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Leading and owning the planning, scheduling and coordinating the efforts of ADC´s data integration projects to meet schedule requirements and client satisfaction goals
This requires in depth knowledge of our digital health tool eco system and its technical interfaces paired with the local EMR market and requirements.
Major Accountabilities
Build relationship with customers and understand customer needs in terms of data integration and translate these needs into technical requirements that meet the capabilities of our interfaces. Manage client expectations throughout the project duration.
Closely work and partner with EMEA and global R&D on feasibility and technical implementation of data integration projects
Manage key aspects of assigned projects over the project lifespan (initiation, planning, execution, controlling, and closure), ensuring successful acceptance and closure of each project.
Travel to client sites (national travel) to attend and conduct project kick-off, planning, technical requirement gathering, project closure meetings, post project support, as necessary.
Act as point of contact for internal stakeholders (a. EMEA Partnership Team, b. Sales & Market Access Team in Spain, c. Global R&D)
Provide management oversight for each project and communicate the project schedule to internal stakeholders and client project teams. Track and report project milestones.
Develop and provide strategic planning and commercial input to the development of the data integration solutions, understanding the key market drivers, priorities and growth opportunities.
Maintain expert knowledge of cloud based APIs, JSON and HL7 data formats, OAuth2.0 authentication format as well as any other healthcare and general IT security standards.
Education
- University degree in computer science or related IT field of study; MBA preferred
Background
Knowledge & Experience
Previous experience and track record in negotiating & aligning technical requirements for cloud based data integration projects
Experience in data sharing and integration of cloud-based health data e.g. via API using JSON and HL7 data formats as well as OAuth 2.0 authentication
At least 7 to 10 years of previous relevant experience, preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
Experience in working in matrix organizations
Knowledge in Health Care or MedTech or Pharma, ideally the Diabetes sector

Must be fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.
Understanding of the adherence to internal security requirements, accountability, Data Protection
Ability to travel up to 50% (mostly nationally. Once per quarter, travel to Germany Headquarter as well)
