The SPD Instrument Technician is responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, processing, and sterilization or surgical instrumentation and medical devices following the manufacturer’s instructions for use (IFU’s). Supports the Operating Room, Laborand Delivery, Clinics and special procedure areas.

Education:

  • High School graduate or equivalent

    License/Certifications:

  • Associate is required to obtain certification within 1 ½ years of hire date. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)

    Experience:

  • Experience working with instruments in a hospital or health related field.

    Other:

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
