Job Description Summary
Role Purpose
The User Insights & Innovation Lead is a key member of the Clinical Experience & Customer Innovation team responsible for shaping, operationalizing, and delivering a high quality clinical insights engine that informs digital, AI enabled, and customer co created solutions. This role ensures frontline clinical insight is systematically captured, analyzed, and translated into clear experience direction and actionable product requirements.
This role will partner closely with Marketing, Digital & Innovation, Product, Engineering, and Design to ensure insight activities are strategic, coordinated, and directly connected to delivery.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Experience (CX) Strategy & Standard Work
Co develop and manage CX strategy, operating model, and standard work, including processes, tools, and governance for clinical insights activities
Establish repeatable methods for insight generation that scale across programs and customer engagements
Ensure consistency, rigor, and traceability from insight to experience direction
User Segmentation & Insight Audience Strategy
Partner with Marketing to define and evolve clinician and care team segmentation models
Concept and analyze insight participant audiences to ensure representation across roles, settings, and workflows
Optimize recruitment, engagement, and longitudinal participation of clinical partners
Research Intake, Planning & Coordination
Serve as the lead for tracking and managing research requests and the clinical insights calendar
Coordinate insight activities across partnerships, marketing, product, and innovation teams
Balance demand, capacity, and strategic priorities to maximize impact and minimize redundancy
Clinical Insights Execution & Analysis
Plan, conduct, and analyze clinical insights activities including interviews, contextual inquiry, workshops, and field engagements
Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into clear themes, opportunities, and experience implications
Maintain high standards for clinical credibility, ethical engagement, and data integrity
Insight to Delivery Translation
Lead user story and insight translation workshops to bridge clinical findings into technical and product requirements
Partner with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure insights are actionable and testable
Support downstream teams with clear narratives, artifacts, and experience guidance
Tactical Planning & Engagement Enablement
Plan and execute insight driven events and activities (e.g., customer visits, co creation sessions, validation workshops)
Support innovation programs and pilots with timely, targeted clinical input
Track outcomes and continuously refine insight approaches based on impact and learning
Scope & Impact
Shapes how clinical insight informs digital and AI enabled healthcare solutions
Influences product strategy, experience design, and innovation priorities
Improves speed, quality, and confidence in decision making by grounding teams in real clinical needs
Builds trusted, long term clinical partnerships that support scalable innovation
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in clinical sciences, human factors, health research, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of work experience in healthcare
Minimum of 5 years working with KOL clinicians and care teams
Minimum of 5 years of direct experience building digital health and AI enabled solutions
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience leading clinical, user, and/or applied research in healthcare environments, including investigating clinical and operational workflows
Exceptional fluency in taxonomy, medical terminology, and medical semantics
Demonstrated ability to translate qualitative insights into structured requirements and user experience direction
Experience facilitating user story workshops and cross functional working sessions
Ability to travel both local and global up to 20%

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $123,200.00-$184,800.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
