Alliant Energy is looking for a Senior Environmental Specialist to drive strategic environmental initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance across our operations. This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence 2-3 days per week. In this role, you\'ll lead the development of air permitting strategies, write and advocate for permit applications, and serve as a trusted liaison with regulatory agencies and industry groups. Your advanced knowledge of air quality regulations will be key in shaping company responses to emerging environmental issues, supporting business units, and influencing policy. Job Summary Senior Environmental Specialist provides advanced technical knowledge and expertise in interpreting and monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines. This position assists with the development of strategies on various environmental policy and compliance issues. This role interfaces as an environmental expert with industry, government agencies, environmental groups, and regulatory agencies. This position brings advanced environmental engineering or scientific knowledge to critical business matters and operations. This role interprets environmental conditions and works closely with external relations representatives on business solutions.
