Description

  • Presents a pleasant appearance and professional manner.

  • Answers and directs incoming phone calls to the appropriate parties.

  • Brings any system problems or participant eligibility issues to the appropriate personnel.

  • Opens, date-stamps, and distributes mail according to department procedures.

  • Handles walk-ins by contacting the appropriate party for assistance.

  • Maintains provider refund check copies and a spreadsheet showing receipt and deposit dates.

  • Updates participant address changes, scans documentation, and attaches to individual files.

  • Contacts participants regarding returned mail to confirm system information and updates records as needed.

  • Maintains office supplies, orders as needed, and organizes supplies upon delivery.

  • Assists with all mass mailings, including labeling, material preparation, stuffing, and posting.

  • Keeps initial eligibility packet materials prepared and ready for month-end mailings.

  • Assists with COBRA, reinstatement, and initial notices to participants from start to finish.

  • Prints Health & Welfare (H& W) checks and EOB notices to participants/providers and mails them within two days.

  • Alphabetizes processed paper claims, scans and saves them to the system; originals are kept batched and filed.

  • Files all hard copy enrollment cards in a secured folder after comparing to the system and scanning.

  • Prepares mail for daily posting and pickup by Pitney Bowes.

  • Operates mail equipment, including sorter/stuffer, mail machine, and label machine.

  • Scans current records into the system and works backward scanning older records when able.

  • Assists with any other assigned duties as needed.
