MSA PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Project Engineer Transportation in MADISON, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities What you will do: Manage projects including planning, scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and QA/QC Design transportation infrastructure with a strong emphasis on traffic operations, intersection improvements, and roundabout design Prepare detailed plans, specifications, bidding documents, and technical reports Develop and coordinate regulatory permit applications Build and maintain client relationships through meetings, collaboration, and responsive communication Lead and review proposals with support from MSA team members Mentor and support junior staff in their professional development Participate in public engagement, including preparing presentation displays and representing projects at public meetings Provide construction management and inspection support as needed ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications What you bring: Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering (required) Minimum of 4 years of traffic/transportation engineering experience with a focus on traffic operations, intersection design, and/or roundabout planning and design (required) Professional Engineer (PE) license (WI PE preferred) WisDOT project experience, particularly in traffic studies, safety analyses, and roadway design (preferred) Experience with Civil 3D design software (desired) Previous client liaison and project management experience or a strong desire to step into that role (required) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to clients, stakeholders, and the public Desire to work in a consulting environment and contribute to collaborative, client-focused solutions The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
