Our client is seeking a candidate with experience leading and coordinating contract management activities to aid in the implementation of major healthcare/insurance provider contracts.

This is a possible contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $32.00 to $42.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Lead program management for specialty pharmacy network contracting initiatives, including exclusive and limited network strategies.

  • Coordinate RFI/RFP processes, vendor engagement, evaluation workflows, and implementation planning.

  • Develop contracting program timelines, track milestones, and manage risk mitigation plans.

  • Partner with legal, contracting, and pharmacy leadership to support contract exhibit development, implementation sequencing, and operational readiness.

  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across pharmacy, provider contracting, finance, analytics, and external partners.

  • Establish governance structures, stakeholder reporting cadence, and executive-level status reporting.

  • Identify operational barriers and drive resolution across departments and vendors.

  • Develop implementation roadmaps for new pharmacy contracting models, sourcing pathways, and network design changes.

  • Coordinate implementation readiness activities including claims configuration, operational workflows, reporting, and vendor integration.

  • Evaluate project risks, develop contingency plans, and respond to changing risk conditions.

  • Support transition planning for legacy programs as new contracting models are introduced.

  • Develop executive-level dashboards summarizing initiative status, risks, and milestones.

  • Represent the organization in meetings with external parties including consultants and vendors and manage vendor service delivery as needed.

  • Assist with analysis and development of business processes to ensure quality, cost effectiveness, timeliness of service, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Develop escalation processes to channel issues and concerns to appropriate parties.

  • 5+ years of related contract management experience in healthcare or insurance domains.

  • Provider network experience.

  • Health plan contracting experience.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional teams and vendor partners.

  • Experience establishing governance, reporting cadences, and executive-level status updates.

  • Experience with RFI/RFP processes and implementation planning.

  • Knowledge in pharmacy or specialty pharmacy (preferred).

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree. In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of related experience.
