We have an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic Mechanical Engineer in our growing Madison, WI office. This opportunity offers exciting project challenges while managing design teams on single and multi-discipline projects. For the right candidate, this position also provides the potential to develop into a Practice Team Leader in the Madison office. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, responsibilities may include: Project engineering and management including project oversight, setting priorities, and developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands-on involvement in the design process. Serving as a technical resource and mentor for mechanical and plumbing team members. Lead and participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management. Develop new business opportunities by strengthening relationships with existing clients and creating new client connections. Represent the firm at industry events, professional associations, and community activities to enhance visibility and market presence. Professional society involvement. In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering. Minimum of 8 years of experience of design experience in the design and specification of HVAC systems for a variety of building types. Candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply. Abilities to mentor staff and successfully lead a project team is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-discipline and architect-led team on large site projects. Professional Engineer (PE) License in Wisconsin. PE licenses in other Midwest states is a plus. Commissioning experience would be a plus. Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members is necessary.
