This physician will have the ability to develop a practice as a general hematologist/oncologist and maintain a specialty area of interest, preferably breast oncology, within our community clinics. As Clinician Track faculty, the principal duty is direct patient care. This includes providing inpatient and outpatient clinic attending services at UW Hospitals and Clinics locations in Madison and at additional sites within the region. Responsibilities will also include providing clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as clinical research endeavors. This position is full or part time, 80%-100% This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law every four years. Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Clinical Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Assistant Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.
