This role provides both strategic direction and hands-on oversight of the division\'s accounting team, and reports to the Chief Financial Officer within UW-Madison\'s Division of Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M). The Finance Associate Director manages an accounting team in daily operations, financial analysis, and reporting. Guidance from this role is vital in completing GAAP financial entries, reconciliation of financial transactions, enhancing internal controls, and streamlining processes. Serving a large and multifaceted division, the Finance Associate Director develops and implements methodologies for divisional expense allocations and leads key strategic initiatives designed to improve financial accuracy. Additionally, this position collaborates with the Budget Planner to coordinate the division\'s budget development and forecasting models, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and that all timelines and deliverables are met. Full-Time: 100% FTE Ongoing/Renewable This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Remote work requires an approved flexible work arrangement (FWA), which is reviewed and approved annually. An FWA requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer.
