JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Duties: Support actuarial analysis by building and maintaining data models that facilitate the setting of loss reserves and complying with regulatory requirements. Help maintain financial reporting databases used by loss reserving actuaries to meet the needs of management. Help maintain custom Python packages which allow our actuaries to easily interact with our enterprise data lake and other loss reserving BI applications. Use tools such as Python, Airflow, Docker, Hadoop, Kubernetes, GitLab across multiple cloud environment (AWS and GCP) to curate high-quality data sets. Adjacent responsibilities include: Establish best practices with respect to data integration, data visualization, schema design, performance, and reliability of data processing systems; support data quality; and enable convenient access to data for our actuaries. Experience must include three (3) years of experience in each of the following: SQL experience using a variety of data stores; Microsoft Excel reporting and analysis; and working in software development life cycle and/or agile development environment with emphasis on BI practices and using source-control management tools to maintain source code. Experience must also include two (2) years of experience in each of the following: Python, Java, Java Script and/or NodeJS; Big Data Hadoop, Greenplum, GCP or AWS environments; ETL, Data Modeling and/or Data Architecture; developing and automating data quality checks. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master\'s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, plus two (2) years of experience in any related occupation.
