Job Description
Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Data Engineer (Data Warehouse Developer III) for a contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to apply your data engineering and ETL expertise in support of meaningful work for one of our client partners.
Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to support the agency’s Data Management Program. This position contributes to building and maintaining a data‑driven and data‑literate organization. The Data Engineer will work as part of a small, collaborative team using agile practices to deliver high‑quality solutions for internal business partners.
This role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehouse solutions to ensure reliable, accurate, and actionable data.
Experience gathering requirements and developing technical specifications for ETL processes (6 years).
Experience using ETL tools to design and build ETL jobs (6 years; experience with Alteryx preferred—2 years).
Experience developing different types of data loads (incremental, full/history loads, survivorship rules) (6 years).
Experience implementing Change Data Capture (CDC) (4 years).
Experience testing and debugging ETL processes (6 years).
Experience writing and optimizing complex SQL (6 years).
Experience with ETL job scheduling (2 years).
Experience loading data warehouses with ETL tools (2 years).
Experience working with multiple ETL tools.
Experience using data quality tools and frameworks.
Experience using source‑code version control tools.
Experience providing guidance or knowledge‑sharing on ETL development.
Experience managing multiple projects or tasks concurrently.
Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical team members.
The base range for this contract position is $45.00 - $55.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
