Room Support Technician (On‑Site | Madison, WI)
We
are hiring a Conference Room Support Technician to provide hands-on
audio/visual and collaboration technology support across our enterprise
conference rooms. This role focuses primarily on diagnosing and resolving
connectivity and meeting issues related to Microsoft Teams and Zoom, with a
strong emphasis on on-site support at our Madison, WI offices.
This
is a highly visible role supporting a wide range of end users—from executives
and directors to employees and guests—and requires excellent customer service,
technical aptitude, and physical capability.
Key
Responsibilities
Provide on-site support for 330+ conference rooms across the U.S., with primary focus on Madison, WI locations
Troubleshoot and resolve conference room issues related to Teams, Zoom, displays, audio, cameras, and connectivity
Respond to alerts and outages from Teams, Zoom Admin, TAC, and Pro Portal systems
Triage and manage conference room tickets in ServiceNow, including self-assignment or rerouting as needed
Perform proactive testing of large conference rooms prior to scheduled meetings and events
Conduct regular room sweeps to identify and resolve issues that may not generate automated alerts
Provide live meeting and event support when required
Update firmware and software based on guidance from CCT leads and verify post-update functionality
Execute additional tasks and projects tracked in Planner when active issues are resolved
Run basic reporting related to conference room health and incidents
Physical
and On‑Site Requirements
Lift and move TVs and A/V equipment up to 75 lbs
Use ladders safely and perform cable management to professional standards
Squatting, crouching, crawling under tables, and working in tight spaces is routine
Ability to remain on feet for extended periods
100% on-site position
Schedule
Core hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM CST
Flexibility required to extend coverage until 5:00 PM CST on select days
Required
Skills and Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Zoom (end-user and room-based troubleshooting)
Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
Ability to work directly with executives and other senior leaders
Self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team
Willingness and ability to learn new technologies quickly
Preferred

Experience with ServiceNow
Prior A/V, conference room, or media technology support experience

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr.
