RISE-AI addresses significant, complex challenges of importance to Wisconsin and the world.Through this initiative, SMPH aims to accelerate medial research using artificial intelligence (AI) and develop innovative AI training for practitioners. This initiative focuses on advancing the technical dimensions and human-centered implications of AI as they impact medicine and health. RISE AI is a major opportunity to accelerate basic and translational research across domains and to create innovative integrated AI-medical and health research training programs to develop the next generation of scientists and practitioners of AI in medical research and clinical care. The School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) seeks to recruit outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position who demonstrate a strong commitment to scholarly research, excellence in teaching, and professional service. The successful candidate will possess the ability to translate basic science discoveries into clinical practice. This individual will be expected to actively engage in interdisciplinary and collaborative initiatives across departments, schools, and colleges. Opportunities for joint appointments within other departments and schools at the University of Wisconsin may be available, depending on the candidate\'s expertise and interests. The research focus of the faculty member should fall within focus areas: Precision Population Health: Improving health through precision prevention and intervention Molecular Discovery: Identification of novel target and drugs; analysis of large data sets to uncover new biological discoveries Integrated Diagnostics: AI-enabled screening, diagnostics, therapeutics, treatment...
