We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant (part-time) to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining efficient workflows, developing procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of administrative functions.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Assistant to join our IT team. This position will be part-time, hybrid, and is a contract position.
What You’ll Do
Maintain efficient administrative workflows by analyzing current methods, implementing process improvements, and developing reporting procedures
Create, revise, and implement systems and procedures by evaluating operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms control, office layouts, and budgetary or personnel requirements
Support and develop administrative staff by sharing information, enabling access to learning opportunities, and fostering professional growth
Resolve administrative challenges by preparing reports, analyzing data, and recommending effective, practical solutions
Ensure continued operation of office equipment by coordinating preventive maintenance, managing repairs, maintaining inventories, and evaluating new tools or techniques
Manage office supplies and inventory by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying delivery accuracy
Complete operational requirements by scheduling, assigning, and tracking administrative projects to ensure timely and accurate outcomes
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing industry publications, networking with peers, and participating in professional organizations
Contribute to overall team success by supporting related tasks, special projects, and ad hoc initiatives as needed
What You’ll Need
Required
Proven experience in administrative support, preferably in a senior, lead, or high-responsibility role
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and improve processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant office productivity tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
