Job Title: 2nd Shift - Machine Operator
Job Description
As a machine operator on the 2nd shift, you will be responsible for checking work orders and blueprints to determine daily production targets. You will set up machines, including the Brake Press, to form and bend metal sheets. You will also operate equipment such as Fiber Laser, Die Stamp, spot welder, assembly, finishing, sanding, and punch press. Daily tasks include visually and physically inspecting each piece of metal to ensure compliance with specifications and lifting metal sheets weighing over 40 pounds.
Responsibilities
Check work orders and blueprints for production targets.
Set up and operate the Brake Press and other machinery.
Load metal sheets and form them according to specifications.
Inspect metal pieces for dents, rips, cuts, and bends.
Operate additional equipment including Fiber Laser and spot welders.
Essential Skills
Experience in machine operation with at least 1 year of experience.
Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.
Blueprint reading skills.
Ability to lift metal sheets over 40 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
6 months of welding or fabricating experience.
Experience with TIG welding and press brake operations.

Work Environment
The 2nd shift operates Monday through Friday from 2 to 10 PM, with potential for 5-10 hours of overtime. You will work in a huge, clean, and temperature-controlled facility alongside 300 colleagues in the fabrication department. You will be part of a pod with 2-3 other employees, each operating their own machine.

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
