Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Madison, Tennessee
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Madison, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable processes. The position requires working on-site three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the accounts payable inbox, ensuring timely responses and organization of communications.
• Perform three-way matching of invoices to purchase orders and receipts to maintain accuracy.
• Assist with processing bills of lading and verifying shipment details.
• Code and process invoices accurately and in compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and execute check runs, ensuring timely payments to vendors.
• Utilize NetSuite for invoice and payment processing tasks.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions for reporting and auditing purposes.
• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounts payable function. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
• Proficiency in using NetSuite or similar CRM/accounting software.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, coding, and three-way matching.
• Experience with check runs and maintaining accurate payment records.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members and vendors.
• Familiarity with bills of lading and shipment verification processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
