THIS POSITION IN LOCATED IN MADISON, GA

SHIFT PREMIUMS FOR 2ND and 3RD SHIFT - $1.50 per hour

SCOPE OF WORK: This position is responsible for assisting the production team in line start-up, line changeovers and packaging products according to JDR standards to ensure production goals are being achieved with safety, quality, and productivity in mind. General Laborers may be assigned to any production line. May be cross-trained in basic duties of Material Handler to meet production needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Packages finished products according to JDR standards
• Assists production team in line changeovers
• Assists production team in line start-up
• Identifies all quality concerns, reporting all concerns in a timely manner to the
• Machine Operator Utilizes hand-held scanning system device to print roll labels
• Completes paperwork detailing number of rolls produced and weights
• Performs basic job duties of Material Handler position if needed to ensure production goals are met
• Follows all safety policies and procedures
• Maintains a clean and safe work area
• Starts and operates the automated sheet winder
• Drives a forklift, once trained, as needed
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor, Production Manager or Plant Manager

PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• One plus years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• One plus years of working in a team environment
• Possesses working basic knowledge of packaging procedures
• Reliable attendance record, with excellent work ethic
• Ability to communicate, read and write effectively in English preferred

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing and bending for extended periods of time
• Lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and 80 pounds assisted on occasion in a safe and prudent manner, as trained, without straining
