Job Title: Project Manager (Controls)Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee projects from bidding to execution and closeout, with a focus on Building Automation System installations. The ideal candidate will have experience managing the field installation of systems and overall project management of the same. This role involves planning, leading, and coordinating all activities associated with the execution of multiple construction projects across the continental United States. The Project Manager may also participate in the conceptual development of a construction project, including Pre-Construction, Estimating, and overseeing the organization, scheduling, and implementation of various MEP-type projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all construction meetings.

  • Develop and update the project schedule.

  • Communicate the scheduling plan with all parties involved to ensure proper execution, providing solutions to obstacles in a timely manner.

  • Maintain communication of progress, issues, and other pertinent project details.

  • Manage project handoff from design to implementation.

  • Monitor employee or subcontractor work for compliance with schedule, budget, quality, safety, and overall conformance with contract documents.

  • Perform project closeout including final paperwork, job walkthrough, and any other follow-up items.

  • Work collaboratively and effectively with the entire project team throughout the project.

  • Provide direction, support, and act as a resource for the project team to ensure all needs are addressed.

  • Ensure the construction administration process is developed and executed.

  • Manage project expenditures and job cost accounting processes, including accuracy, documentation, approvals, payment reporting, and tracking.

  • Manage the submittal process.

  • Assist with the development of proposals.

  • Travel as required (approximately 25%).

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of project management experience within Building Automation, HVAC controls, or MEP industries.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering with two years of HVAC experience or five years of equivalent related experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret MEP blueprints, specifications, and control wiring diagrams.

  • Understanding of control theory and working with commissioning and programming professionals to ensure project success.

  • Competency in using Windows with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Microsoft Project.

  • Possess strategic leadership skills with a hands-on approach to getting the job done.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a project to deliver within a specified timeframe.

  • Working knowledge of building codes/standards and systems, construction technology, and design phases.

  • Security clearance or ability to receive security clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

  • Industry-related HVAC Controls Certifications.

  • Experience with industry-standard protocols including BACnet, LON, Modbus, MQTT.

  • Basic network and networking knowledge.

  • Field experience with HVAC installation, commissioning, and test-and-balancing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
