Job Description

Mold Room Technician| Hiring Immediately | Macon, Georgia

Compensation:

  • Competitive starting pay range of $24.48-$30.59 per hour, paid weekly

Available Shift:

  • 1st Shift

  • 12-hour

  • 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

  • 5-2-2-5

Job purpose

The Level#2- Mold Machine Maintenance role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair and service of mold tooling for facility molding equipment.

Duties and responsibilities

The primary job duties and responsibilities are:

  • Follows all documented safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.

  • Responds promptly to safety hazards and machine breakdowns.

  • Understands and interprets blueprints required for work.

  • Performs change overs to the molding equipment as scheduled.

  • Performs routine service and mechanical repair on mold tooling.

  • Maintain an inventory of spares to support production demand.

  • Completes documentation related to the task at hand.

  • Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.

  • Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.

  • Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.

  • Maintains excellent safety record.

  • Maintains excellent attendance record.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.

  • At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.

Skills

An individual must have the following skills in the Level#2- Mold Machine Maintenance position:

  • Interpersonal skills.

  • Basic computer knowledge.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical requirements

This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to:

  • Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)

  • Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)

  • Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)

  • Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)

Working conditions

An individual that works in the Level#2- Mold Machine Maintenance position:

  • Must have a basic knowledge of hand and power tools.

  • Must have mechanical aptitude.

  • Must be able to stand and/kneel frequently, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and work in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must be available on an on-call basis.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Technical certification in a related field preferred
