Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Mechanical Trades Pre-Apprentice to support our mechanical crews and gain hands-on experience across our HVAC, plumbing, and pipefitting divisions. This is an entry-level, pre-apprenticeship role designed for individuals interested in building a career in the mechanical trades.
Mechanical Trades Trainees work alongside experienced tradespeople while learning jobsite fundamentals, safety practices, and core mechanical skills. After gaining exposure to all divisions, trainees will have the opportunity to enroll in a registered apprenticeship program of their choosing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pipefitters, plumbers, and HVAC installers with daily jobsite tasks
- Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Support setup and breakdown of tools, scaffolding, and temporary systems
- Follow all safety protocols, jobsite rules, and company procedures
- Perform basic demolition, digging, and material handling as directed
- Operate hand tools and small power tools under supervision
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and rotate through mechanical divisions

Work Location & Schedule
- Projects located throughout Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties
- Monday--Friday, 7:00 AM -- 3:30 PM (hours may vary by site)
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required
