RESPONSIBILITIES: The position is an instructor/clinical supervisor who will be responsible for supervising graduate and undergraduate students completing on/off campus clinical practicum, serving on departmental committees and other duties as assigned. These other duties may be teaching graduate and undergraduate courses specific to areas within your area of expertise.

This position will require supervision of graduate and undergraduate clinicians at our on-campus clinic receiving treatment. This position will also require supervision of graduate students who are off-campus at school placements to cover our contract responsibilities. Supervision of diagnostic evaluations of adults and children will also be required of this position.

RANK & SALARY: 9-month, 100% non-tenure track appointment. \$4,468 - \$6,044 per month; negotiable, commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master\'s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, Illinois State License or Eligibility for Licensure (IDFPR SLP License);
  • At least five years of clinical experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in school and medical settings
  • Experience supervising students/clinical fellowships or similar experience

For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). Unless otherwise stated, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at Western Illinois University offers B.S. in Speech Pathology and Audiology and M.S. in Speech Pathology. The graduate program in speech-language pathology is CAA accredited. The department operates on on-campus Speech-Language Hearing Clinic. The academic and clinical operations are located in Memorial Hall on the 2nd Floor.
