Position Description Starting Salary Range: $87,000 - $120,000 - depending on experience Location: Lynnwood + Various Locations Classification: Exempt Must be eligible to work in the U.S. - Sponsorship not available Position Overview: Develop, estimate, sell and manage multiple, specialized, fast-track mechanical construction projects through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting of costs and profitability. Generate business plans and expand revenue base through marketing, sales, and business development. Train, mentor, and supervise Project Engineers and Project Coordinators. Support and collaborate with company superintendents, foreman, engineers, detailers, and management to deliver quality and profitable projects. Key Responsibilities: Take leadership role and ownership of estimates, project scoping, proposals, project safety and project execution while meeting or exceeding department profitability goals. Understanding of mechanical systems costing and value analysis. Effective communication with UMC engineering staff to ensure complete designs that convey clear scope and scope within project established budget. Effective communication and collaboration with UMC Manufacturing (VCS and fabrication) to maintain a collaborative and supportive team approach. Attend VCS and model coordination meetings. Collaborate with and support UMC business development team to secure new business. Develop and maintain client relations. Review job estimate of direct reports and prepare project budgets. Estimate and negotiate change orders. Track, forecast, report labor hours and material costs. Buyout major equipment and subcontracts.
