Under the general direction of the Director of Budgeting, the Budget Analyst 4 is a strategic, results-driven position that provides expert level assistance in the development, management and support of budget policy, process, and strategies for the college in order to meet short and long-term financial goals and to assure optimum utilization of resources in compliance with the college's Board of Trustees policies and directives and with rules and regulations of the State of Washington.
This is a classified position reporting to the Director of Budgeting.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:
Analyze revenue generating budgets for break-even/profitability and advise in the development and monitoring of the fiscal year budget. This should include multi-year strategic budgeting in support of the Director and Vice President.
Assist with the management and improvement of the college's budget framework, including tools, information, education, employee development, evaluating policies and recommending new procedures to maintain compliance, improve efficiencies and streamline business office processes.
Contribute to the development of revenue estimates, cost analysis and allocation methodologies.
Review and verify budget detail for accuracy and compliance in accordance with college policies and procedures, in addition to federal, state and local laws.
Compile and evaluate fiscal data, providing information, identifying potential issues, alerting relevant parties, and taking corrective action and/or recommending resolution options.
Evaluate incoming Grants & Contracts in coordination with Post Award Grant Manager to identify workload & compliance obligations. Determine distribution of workload between the Associate Director role and Budget Analysts to ensure all tasks can be reasonably completed and reviewed to eliminate opportunity for error.
