::: {dir="ltr"} Lyndon Institute is seeking a dedicated and experienced healthcare professional to join our Career and Technical Education (CTE) department as a full-time LNA / Health Education CTE Program Teacher. The primary focus of this position is to instruct students in the Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) curriculum, preparing them to successfully pass the Vermont LNA certification examination upon completion of the program. ::: {dir="ltr"} Performance Responsibilities: :::

::: {dir="ltr"} Licensed Nursing Assistant Program (Primary Teaching Focus) :::

  • Deliver comprehensive instruction in the Vermont-approved Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) curriculum, covering all required clinical skills, theory, and professional standards.
  • Prepare and guide students to successfully pass the Vermont LNA certification examination at the conclusion of the program year.
  • Coordinate and supervise students during clinical learning experiences in approved healthcare settings, ensuring patient safety and adherence to facility protocols.
  • Maintain accurate student records, skills checklists, and clinical hour documentation as required by the Vermont Board of Nursing.
  • Ensure the classroom and lab environment meets all state and federal standards for LNA training programs.
  • Stay current with Vermont LNA certification requirements and update curriculum accordingly.*\ *

::: {dir="ltr"} Depending on credentials and certifications, the teacher may also be assigned to instruct one or more of the following courses: :::

  • Introduction to Health Careers
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Phlebotomy
  • Medical Terminology
  • Anatomy and Physiology

::: {dir="ltr"} General Teaching and Professional Duties: :::

  • Develop and maintain engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans, course syllabi, and instructional materials.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with the CTE Director and fellow faculty to support program growth, student recruitment, and community partnerships.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school-wide events.
  • Use a variety of teaching techniques and resources, such as group discussions, role-playing, simulations, and technology to engage students and make learning purposeful and interactive.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that reflects Lyndon Institute\'s mission and values.
  • Maintain professional relationships with healthcare industry partners, clinical sites, and advisory board members. Conduct Program Advisory Board meetings once a semester.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Career and Technical Education.

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current, act ve Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (Vermont licensure or eligibility required).
  • Minimum of 35 years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with adolescent learners and adult stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, written, oral, technological, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student success and the mission of Career and Technical Education.
