Job Title: Part-time Veterinary Surgeon

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum FTE and depending on experience

Location: The Barn Animal Practice

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: Up to 32 hours per week over 2, 3, or 4 days, including 1:4 Saturdays, no OOH

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our fabulous, forward-thinking family at The Barn Animal Practice. We are a very friendly, sociable, caring and experienced team looking to always grow and develop.

The Team

The Barn Animal Practice has proudly served the local community for over 50 years, delivering high-quality veterinary care for small animals. Alongside cats, dogs, and rabbits, we also care for a wide range of small mammals and exotics, including guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, tortoises, and birds.

We are proud to support local charities through charity fundraising events and offer work experience to inspire future veterinary professionals

Who We’re Looking For

  • We’reseeking a team-oriented Veterinary Surgeon with excellent communication skills and high clinical standards

  • Interest in diagnostic imaging is desirable and basicproficiencyin abdominal ultrasound is essential due to the medical caseload

  • Cardiac ultrasound experience is desirable

  • Enjoy a varied role combining consults and surgery

  • Comfortable working sole charge during some Saturdays

  • Confident making independent clinical decisions
