Your key responsibilities will be :
Perform physical testing of electroplated metallic layer
Sample preparation and inspection: Platingbath makeup; Galvanizing or metal electroplating ; Thickness measurement using XRF; metal cross-section; surface inspection with optical microscope (experience in electron microscope is a plus).
Analysis of electroplating bath: T itration of metallic ions in aqueous solution, UV-vis method, IR analysis, knowledge of HPLC or ICP is a plus.
Organize sample shipment
Adapt testing conditions or set up new tests or new test method
Follow work requests
Collect and compile data from tests
Analyze results obtained / Write reports
Communicate the results to engineers
Manage lab infrastructures : Responsible for equipment (set-up, maintenance, procedures, safety)
A successful candidate must have:
Preferably a degree or CFC or Bac+2 in Material science, Mechanical Science, physics or chemistry laboratory
Rigorous and organized person
Experience in laboratory safety
Computer literate with good knowledge in Microsoft office environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook)
Good interpersonal skills and team spirit
Good communication skills
Independent and proactive with minimal supervision
Fluency in Germany and English is essential.
