Within Amazon, The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for managing the physical workplace – inclusive of programs, products, and services – that helps enable Amazonians to do their best work. The globally diverse team oversees Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF programs, products, and services include day-to-day facilities management, on-site food and beverage offerings, commute programs, environmental health & safety, sustainability, launching new corporate offices, and moving employees.

As a regional communications manager in EMEA, you'll be driving and delivering integrated communications plans to inform and engage a very diverse population of Amazon corporate employees. You'll also play a crucial part in shaping our employee, issues and crisis, and change management communication strategies and establishing new ways of working and process improvement with cross-functional colleagues to increase our scale and impact. You'll be at the forefront of communicating and marketing vital operational and program information to Amazon employees, ensuring they can fully utilize and appreciate the workplace product, services, and spaces we provide. Additionally, this role may also serve as the face of GREF with employees, engaging directly via email, Slack, events, etc., and using your creativity and branding experience to develop content for comms channels.

Key job responsibilities
Develop and implement integrated product, employee, and change management communication and engagement plans, messaging, and assets – managing the entire communications lifecycle from strategy to tactical execution and reporting – to promote and amplify GREF programs, products, and services with a high focus on facilities management.
Create strategy, guidelines, and toolkits for employee-facing, site-level communication channels (e.g., Slack channels, email, building pages, in-person and virtual events) inclusive of content creation. Provide strategic counsel, guidance, support, and training to GREF facilities managers on day-to-day employee communications. Monitor, report, and post to digital channels as needed.
Work cross-functionally with PR, internal communications, public policy, HR, and legal to ensure alignment on comms plans and/or messaging and manage employee issues and escalations related to GREF programs and services.
Serve as a strategic thought partner to regional GREF Leadership Team, including the regional portfolio director, and program leads for commute, food & beverage, sustainability, environmental health and safety, and customer insights. Support executive and GREF employee communications as needed.
A day in the life
Developing a communications plan for an upcoming building launch.
Working with regional portfolio managers and facilities managers to strategize comms for a specific building issues.
Connecting with Amazon Internal Corporate Communications to align on messaging for an upcoming comms campaign.
Reviewing proposed copy from a facilities manager for a Slack post.
Building a facilities manager toolkit for a new sustainability initiative.
Revamping comms templates for fire drill awareness and preparation.
About the team
The GREF Communications team fully formed as a strategic function of the GREF organization in 2024. The team consists of communications and channel and content experts across Seattle, New York, London, and Singapore. We connect GREF's products, programs, and services to Amazon's global, corporate workforce. The team owns the full communications lifecycle across six pillars: strategic planning & narrative, asset production, channel management, campaign timing & orchestration, cross-functional alignment, issues management.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
Experience managing complex projects and/or programs within a matrix environment
Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent
Experience in social content creation
Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation
Significant professional experience in communications or marketing
Preferred Qualifications
Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience in media relations and issues management
Experience with brand strategy
Experience with multimedia content creation
Experience in facilities management, office management, corporate administrative services, or hospitality management
Experience in change management
