Amergis Pulmonary Clinic Physician Assistant Needed in Baltimore Area in Lutherville, Maryland
The Physician Assistant provides medical services to patients of all ages under the direction of a physician; collects and documents patient data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and provides professional consultations and direct patient care services. The Physician Assistant works in all specialty and primary care areas, diagnosing and treating common illnesses and performing minor procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's of Physician Assistant Studies required
Physician's Assistant Certificate of Registration or License from the Maryland state Medical Board highly preferred (may consider pending Maryland license or those with a VA or DC license)
Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physician's Assistant strongly preferred (as a hospitalist, intensivist, in critical care, in pulmonary medicine, or similar inpatient settings)
Shift times: part-time, 2 days/week, 4 hours each day (either morning or afternoon)
BLS required
Active DEA required
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
