Position Description:
Performs the administrative duties of planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating special development efforts. Responsibilities may include: cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual, foundation, and corporate support for the TTU/System; adherence to the prospect management system; and plans, coordinates and evaluates development goals. Responsible for fiscal management of development goals. Work is performed under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative.

Major/Essential Functions:
Qualify, manage, and build meaningful relationships with a portfolio of corporate entities and prospects who’s philanthropic, research, and engagement interests align with the University’s strategic vision.
Develop and support corporate proposals, concept papers, and funding requests; assist with solicitations and secure philanthropic support as outlined in annual plans and appropriate to the role.
Meet goals for key metrics related to corporate engagement such as substantive contacts, visits, portfolio movement, proposal activity, and partnership outcomes as established each fiscal year in annual plans.
Adhere to procedures and best practices regarding documenting corporate interactions, proposal development, stewardship, engagement activities, events, gift processing, and effective use of the advancement database.
Represent Texas Tech University, and the TTU Office of Advancement, at university, corporate, foundation, alumni, and community events in a professional manner.
Maintain a collaborative culture and serve as a strong colleague within the TTU Office of Advancement, with TTUS Institutional Advancement, within the assigned college or unit, and across the University to strengthen coordinated corporate engagement.
Assist the direct supervisor and college or unit leadership, as appropriate, in developing and executing an annual corporate focused annual plan that aligns with the strategic vision of Texas Tech University and the TTU Office of Advancement.
Manage a unit budget related to corporate and foundation engagement activities, including travel, events, and stewardship, and serve as a responsible steward of resources provided by the University, college, and donors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven track record of raising major gifts and managing a donor portfolio. A good knowledge of all aspects of fundraising including major giving, planned giving, campaign management, annual giving, donor engagement, and strategic planning. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, writing and presentation skills. Exceptional initiative and the ability to work with limited direct supervision. Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
Annualized Pay Range:
$71,800 - $93,300 - $114,900
