Admissions Counselor - Visitors Center
Position Description:
Represents Texas Tech University both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, staff and faculty of area high schools and community colleges to attract quality applicants and achieve enrollment goals. Coordinates and contributes to the success of various visit schedules for area high school and community colleges in the assigned area. Plans assigned recruiting events and program. Counsels prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the university. Title is reserved for use in the TTU Undergraduate Admissions department.

Major/Essential Functions:
Represents Texas Tech University during daily campus tours, Saturday visit programs, and other events through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Meet with prospective students and families who visit campus to discuss the enrollment process at Texas Tech University.
Partner with campus community on various tours, academic information sessions, and events.
Provide walking and driving campus tours when necessary.
Communicate effectively with the prospective students, parents, and counselors through meetings and admissions presentations.
Provide exceptional customer service through all Visitors Center activities.
Communicate with your supervisor regarding any Visitors Center issues or feedback received from guests.

M-F / 8-5 evening and weekend programs as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in recruitment or admissions desirable.
Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
Public Relations experience.
Working knowledge of higher education recruitment and admissions Sales and territory management experience.
Event planning, coordination and implementation.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus one year related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal five years.
This position requires eligibility to drive TTU vehicles, including a valid U.S. driver license and two years of driving experience.

Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to learn and utilize customer relationship software.
Demonstrate working knowledge of admissions policies and procedures, enrollment goals, university facts, knowledge of recruitment market, and proficient use of admissions and recruitment technology.
Annualized Pay Range:
$44,500 - $57,900 - $71,200
