About the Team:

UKG’s Corporate Risk & Compliance team designs and operationalizes programs that help employees do the right thing every day. We are collaborative and forward-thinking, focused on building a culture where compliance supports how we work, innovate, and lead.

About the Role:

This role is a key contributor to UKG’s corporate compliance program and will help scale the program toward public-company readiness. You will drive and coordinate high-impact compliance operations workstreams, execute a DOJ Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs (ECCP) aligned gap assessment, and deliver operational improvements across policy, training, monitoring, metrics, and documentation. You’ll partner with Compliance leadership to help modernize our operating model through automation, analytics, and responsible AI-enabled capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Compliance Operations Manager to enhance the operational aspects of UKG’s corporate compliance program, including:

  • Drive and coordinate the day-to-day execution of a compliance program gap assessment aligned to the DOJ Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs (ECCP): support scoping, coordinate evidence collection, schedule and facilitate stakeholder interviews/workshops, document observations, and integrate findings into a draft remediation roadmap (priorities, owners, milestones).

  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, Security, HR, and business leaders to translate assessment outcomes into practical improvements and to track progress on remediation items; escalate blockers and risks to Compliance leadership.

  • Manage policy operations and governance (intake, drafting support, review/approvals, version control, publishing, attestations, and communications), ensuring consistent processes and audit-ready documentation.

  • Draft and update corporate compliance policies and procedures (e.g., Code of Conduct, conflicts of interest, gifts & entertainment, anti-corruption/anti-bribery, third-party due diligence, whistleblower/non-retaliation, records retention) and coordinate stakeholder review; partner with Legal on insider trading and disclosure-related procedures as applicable.

  • Drive initiatives to increase employee awareness of compliance standards and ethical expectations.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of compliance program activities, including SOPs, training completion, and policy acknowledgements.

  • Build and maintain compliance program metrics and KRIs/KPIs; produce dashboards and executive-ready summaries using strong spreadsheet skills and reporting/BI tools (e.g., Power BI/Tableau). Support the corporate records retention program by partnering with departments to ensure adherence to UKG’s records retention policy and schedules.

  • Provide timely assistance for internal and external audit requirements (e.g., SOC 2, ISO27001).

  • Drive change management for compliance initiatives: develop communications plans, coordinate enablement activities, capture feedback, and track adoption to improve sustainability of new processes and tools.

  • Identify automation opportunities and support implementation using tools such as ServiceNow and/or GRC platforms: gather requirements, document user stories, support configuration/testing, and help drive adoption and process standardization.

  • Use approved AI-enabled tools to accelerate compliance operations

  • Perform additional duties and projects assigned by management.

About You:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Risk Management, Compliance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in corporate compliance, ethics & compliance operations, risk management, or a related governance role.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance to solve moderately complex compliance operations challenges and improve existing processes.

  • Experience executing a cross-functional assessment or maturity review (e.g., program gap assessment, audit readiness, controls review) and translating findings into actionable recommendations and tracked remediation items.

  • Working knowledge of key elements of an effective compliance program (policies/procedures, training & communications, confidential reporting, third-party risk, continuous improvement).

  • Strong organizational and program management skills: managing multiple priorities, dependencies, and timelines; documenting decisions and outcomes clearly.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear, usable materials for varied audiences and to influence without authority.

  • Strong analytical mindset, comfortable with data, dashboards, and turning metrics into action.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCEP, CCEP-I, CRCM, CISA, CISSP, CRISC) preferred.

  • Experience supporting a DOJ ECCP-aligned assessment (or similar framework-based assessment) and contributing to stakeholder alignment, evidence documentation, and remediation tracking.

  • Experience in developing and implementing compliance metrics and KPIs.

  • Knowledge of international compliance regulations and standards.

  • Experience supporting change management for compliance initiatives (communications plans, enablement, adoption metrics, feedback loops).

  • Experience supporting implementation and/or administration of compliance tooling (e.g., ServiceNow workflows, GRC platforms, LMS solutions, reporting/BI tools) including requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and user enablement.

  • Exposure to public company readiness concepts such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) readiness, disclosure controls & procedures, and IPO diligence expectations (not required but strongly valued).

  • Understanding of audit frameworks (e.g., SSAE 18 SOC 1, AT101 SOC 2 or ISO27001/17/18, NIST) and/or experience supporting regulatory and compliance programs in organizations with global operations.

  • Experience using AI to accelerate compliance work (e.g., drafting/summarizing) while implementing governance controls: approved-tool use, data/PII restrictions, and human approval before publication or action.

  • Experience with FedRAMP is a bonus.
