Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – $60/hr – Lovington, NM – In-Person – 12 WeeksPosition Overview:
The Speech-Language Pathologist provides school-based evaluation and therapy services to students with communication needs. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering direct therapy, documenting progress, and collaborating with educational teams to support student success and compliance with educational standards.
Assignment Details:
Location: Lovington, NM
Start Date: 02/23/2026
Duration: 12 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Pay Rate: $60/hour
Modality: In-person
Openings: 1 position
Details of Assignment:
Caseload: Approximately 35 students, primarily 3rd grade
District EA/monitor already in place to support services
Virtual interview required with the Special Education Director
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and speech-language assessments
Provide direct therapy aligned with student IEPs and communication needs
Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, and progress notes
Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
Participate in meetings and contribute to student support planning
Uphold state, federal, and ethical practice standards
Requirements:
Active New Mexico PED SLP License
CCC-SLP preferred
CPR certification if applicable
TB screening and health certificate per state guidelines
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
