Job Title: CNC Programmer Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming from print, setting up, and operating Multi-Axis CNC lathes, utilizing live tooling and machines using Mazatrol conversational programming. You will be a direct support to our CNC supervisor and assume this role in their absence. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional precision machining services.
Responsibilities
Program from print using Mazatrol by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
Calculate requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
Do own setups and produce quality parts from technical drawings with minimal supervision.
Plan machining by studying detailed/complex blueprints and work orders; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD & T).
Set up lathes by installing and adjusting three and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, and stops.
Verify settings by measuring positions, first run part, and sample work pieces; perform buddy checks.
Support CNC Lathe team through programming, verifying setups, and buddy checks.
Essential Skills
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of CNC programming and operation, particularly with Mazatrol and Fanuc systems.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers.
Ability to lead others.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of milling machines and power tools is preferred.

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled environment. This position operates on the 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
